Membership Terms & Conditions

Final website copy – September 2026

These Membership Terms & Conditions apply to all sk:INSPIRE Medical membership plans. By joining a membership plan, you agree to these terms together with our general Website Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policy.

1. Membership Plans & Fees

  1. sk:INSPIRE Medical memberships are provided on a monthly subscription basis.
  2. The current membership fees are: Children’s Membership – £28 per month; Gold Membership – £50 per month; Platinum Membership – £83 per month; Family Membership – £125 per month.
  3. The benefits included within each membership plan are those displayed on the sk:INSPIRE Medical website at the time the membership is taken out, subject to these Terms & Conditions.
  4. Membership benefits apply only while the membership remains active and payments are up to date.
  5. Membership is personal to the named member(s), is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

2. Minimum Membership Term & Cancellation

  1. All memberships are subject to a minimum initial commitment of six months from the membership commencement date.
  2. Membership cannot ordinarily be cancelled during the initial six-month minimum term, except where a statutory right to cancel applies.
  3. After the initial six-month minimum term has been completed, membership will continue on a monthly rolling basis.
  4. Following completion of the minimum term, members may cancel by providing at least one month’s written notice.
  5. Cancellation requests must be made in writing by email to [email protected].
  6. Membership fees remain payable throughout the notice period and membership benefits remain available during that period provided payments are up to date.
  7. Membership fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by applicable consumer law.

3. Cooling-Off Period

  1. Where applicable, members have a 14-day cooling-off period from the date the membership agreement is entered into.
  2. If no membership service or benefit has been used during the cooling-off period, payments made will be refunded in accordance with applicable consumer law.
  3. If the member asks for or uses membership services during the cooling-off period, sk:INSPIRE Medical may deduct a reasonable amount for services already supplied where permitted by law.

4. Appointment Allowance

  1. Each member may book up to four standard membership appointments per calendar month, subject to appointment availability, clinical appropriateness and the Fair Usage Policy.
  2. Standard membership appointments are up to 30 minutes.
  3. Unused appointments do not roll over into subsequent months and cannot be accumulated, transferred to another person or exchanged for cash.
  4. Priority appointments provide access to the earliest available appointment where possible. Priority access does not guarantee an appointment within a specific timeframe or with a particular clinician.
  5. Members must provide at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or rearrange an appointment.
  6. Appointments cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or where the patient fails to attend, may incur a £25 late cancellation/non-attendance fee and may count towards the member’s monthly appointment allowance.

5. Platinum Annual Comprehensive Health Check

  1. Platinum Membership includes an Annual Comprehensive Health Check, currently valued at £395, subject to the eligibility conditions below.
  2. The Annual Comprehensive Health Check becomes available only after the member has completed 12 consecutive months of continuous Platinum Membership.
  3. The member’s Platinum Membership must remain continuously active and all membership payments must be up to date throughout the qualifying period and at the time the Health Check is undertaken.
  4. The Health Check cannot be booked or undertaken as an included membership benefit before the 12-month qualifying period has been completed.
  5. If Platinum Membership is cancelled, terminated or lapses before 12 consecutive months have been completed, the member will not qualify for the included Annual Comprehensive Health Check.
  6. Once the initial 12-month qualifying period has been completed, the member will be entitled to one Annual Comprehensive Health Check during each subsequent 12-month period of continuous Platinum Membership, provided the membership remains active and payments are up to date.
  7. The Health Check benefit is personal to the member and cannot be transferred to another person, exchanged for cash, credited against membership fees or substituted for another service.

6. Children’s Membership

  1. Children’s Membership is available to patients under 18 years of age.
  2. A parent or person with appropriate parental responsibility must enter into the membership agreement on behalf of a child.
  3. Children’s Membership includes the benefits displayed for that plan on the website, including an annual health review tailored to children.
  4. Appointments and treatment remain subject to the usual requirements for parental responsibility, consent and clinical appropriateness.
  5. Children’s Membership is subject to the same monthly appointment allowance, cancellation requirements and Fair Usage Policy unless expressly stated otherwise.

7. Family Membership

  1. Family Membership covers up to four immediate family members named on the membership agreement.
  2. Each person included in the Family Membership must be registered with sk:INSPIRE Medical and identified as a member.
  3. Membership benefits cannot be transferred to individuals who are not named on the membership.
  4. The maximum of four standard membership appointments per calendar month applies to each registered family member individually.
  5. Any request to change the family members covered by a Family Membership is subject to agreement by sk:INSPIRE Medical.

8. Discounts & Services Outside Membership

  1. Any discounts included in a membership plan apply only to eligible services specified by sk:INSPIRE Medical and may be subject to exclusions.
  2. Unless expressly included within the chosen membership plan, the following are not included in the monthly membership fee:
  • Medications and pharmacy charges.
  • Repeat prescriptions issued outside an included consultation.
  • Blood tests and laboratory investigations, except for any specifically stated membership discount.
  • Diagnostic imaging, including ultrasound, X-ray, CT or MRI.
  • Minor surgical or dermatological procedures.
  • Joint injections and aesthetic treatments.
  • Specialist consultations, hospital treatment or services provided by external clinicians.
  • External laboratory, imaging or other third-party provider charges.
  • Medical reports, certificates and other administrative services unless expressly included.
  • Additional or extended consultation time outside the membership entitlement.

Where reasonably possible, any additional charge will be explained before the service is provided.

9. Fair Usage Policy

  1. The membership scheme is intended to provide convenient and reliable access to high-quality private primary care.
  2. Membership appointments are limited to four standard appointments per member per calendar month, with no rollover of unused appointments.
  3. Membership must not be used as a substitute for emergency care, hospital services, specialist care or services that are more appropriately provided elsewhere.
  4. sk:INSPIRE Medical may review membership usage where there are concerns that the service is being used inappropriately, excessively outside its intended scope, or in a way that may compromise safe or appropriate clinical care.
  5. Where concerns arise, these will normally be discussed with the member and an alternative or more appropriate care pathway may be recommended.

10. Clinical Care

  1. Membership provides access to healthcare services but does not guarantee that a particular medication, investigation, treatment or referral will be clinically appropriate.
  2. All consultations, prescribing, investigations and referrals remain subject to the professional judgement of the treating clinician and sk:INSPIRE Medical’s clinical policies.
  3. Membership does not provide an emergency or out-of-hours medical service.
  4. Patients experiencing a medical emergency should call 999 or attend the appropriate NHS emergency service.
  5. Where a condition requires specialist, secondary-care or emergency management, the clinician may advise the patient to seek care through the NHS or an appropriate private provider.

11. Payments

  1. Membership fees are collected monthly using the payment method agreed when the membership is set up.
  2. Members are responsible for ensuring that their payment details remain valid and up to date.
  3. If a membership payment is missed or declined, sk:INSPIRE Medical may suspend membership benefits until the outstanding payment has been received.
  4. Continued non-payment may result in termination of membership. Any outstanding sums relating to the minimum membership term remain payable where legally enforceable.

12. Changes to Membership

  1. sk:INSPIRE Medical may periodically review membership fees, benefits and these Terms & Conditions.
  2. Reasonable changes may be made where required because of changes in clinical practice, legislation, regulation, service availability or operational requirements.
  3. Where a material change affects an existing member, reasonable notice will be provided wherever practicable.
  4. Changes to membership pricing will not retrospectively affect payments that have already fallen due.

13. Suspension or Termination

sk:INSPIRE Medical may suspend or terminate membership where:

  • Membership fees remain unpaid.
  • Membership is used fraudulently or benefits are shared with a person who is not entitled to them.
  • A member materially breaches these Terms & Conditions.
  • There is abusive, threatening or inappropriate behaviour towards staff or other patients.
  • Continuing the membership would, in our reasonable clinical judgement, compromise safe or appropriate care.

Where reasonably possible, we will contact the member before terminating membership.

14. Third-Party Services

  1. Where sk:INSPIRE Medical arranges or recommends investigations, imaging, specialist consultations or other services provided by an independent third party, that provider remains responsible for the services it provides.
  2. Third-party charges are not included within membership unless expressly stated.

15. Data Protection

  1. Personal and medical information will be processed in accordance with applicable data-protection legislation and the sk:INSPIRE Medical Privacy Policy.
  2. Information necessary to administer membership and provide healthcare may be recorded within the patient’s clinical record.
  3. Marketing communications are optional. Consent to receive marketing is not a condition of membership and may be withdrawn at any time.

16. General

  1. Membership numbers may be limited to ensure that sk:INSPIRE Medical can continue to provide safe, timely and high-quality care.
  2. These Membership Terms & Conditions should be read alongside the sk:INSPIRE Medical Website Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy and Cancellation Policy.
  3. If there is a conflict between general website information and these Membership Terms & Conditions in relation to the membership scheme, these Membership Terms & Conditions will apply.
  4. Nothing in these Terms & Conditions affects a member’s statutory consumer rights.
