Mole Removal

Prior to any procedure it is a priority to examine the moles using a dermatoscope. Our doctors are highly experienced in evaluating moles. If a doctor determines that a mole can be safely removed, they will discuss your options and pricing during your pre-operative appointment. This step is essential because there are two primary methods of mole removal, each with different results and suitable for various situations.

The two methods are:

1. Shave Excision

2. Ellipse Excision (Cut and Stitch method)

Both methods are considered minor surgeries, performed while you are awake with a small amount of local anaesthetic. The procedure itself is painless, but the wound may be slightly uncomfortable for a few days afterward. The following information highlights the key differences between these two removal techniques.

A pre-operative consultation is £75 and full pricing for removal can be found on our pricing page.

Yes, we do not book directly for a procedure. It is vital the mole is checked and the procedure is correctly planed. During your consultation you will be seen by one of our doctors, who will review your skin condition/lesion and advise you on your treatment options. This will be discussed by your doctor and you will be given instructions to follow as well as a time given for when the sutures (stitches) need to be removed.
