Skin Tags

Skin tags are small, benign growths that often appear as soft, flesh-coloured protrusions on the skin’s surface, typically in areas where skin rubs against skin or clothing.

Treatment options for skin tags may include cryotherapy, electrosurgery, ligation, or surgical removal, depending on factors such as the size, location, and number of skin tags.

Cryotherapy involves freezing the skin tags with liquid nitrogen to destroy the abnormal cells, while electrosurgery uses electrical energy to cut or burn off the growths. Surgical removal may be necessary for larger or more stubborn skin tags.

Prices for removal are discussed during your pre-operative consultation which is £75, but see our Fees for further information.

During your consultation you will be seen by one of our doctors, who will review your skin condition/lesion and advise you on your treatment options. If it is a lesion that you would like to have removed, the risks will be discussed in depth.

This will be discussed by your doctor and you will be given instructions to follow.
